How do you ensure consistent coverage in outdoor environments?

Beacon excels at consistent coverage. We work with customers to ensure they have more than enough coverage for their businesses. We do this by using our proprietary poles. These poles make sure the wifi can cast the furthest and security cameras have the best view. Contact us to learn more

Do you offer wifi solutions for both indoor and outdoor spaces?

Yes, Beacon Services started in marinas but has expanded our service offering. Now we service assisted living centers, golf courses, ski resorts, campgrounds, parks, and municipalities. We've even begun offering bespoke home solutions.Would you like to learn more? Check out our industries page

How does the system handle high traffic, especially during peak times?

Beacon wifi networks are built with the future in mind. We purposefully build our networks using fiber optic cables to allow the fastest possible connection. In addition we only use network devices that can handle high traffic. This reduces all the bottlenecks that hinder performance.Want to learn more? Reach out to us.

What kind of Internet service can Beacon provide our business?

Beacon is not an internet service provider (ISP). We design and build the network infrastructure, install it in your facility, and then service and support your implementation.During the design phase, we work with you to select an ISP and consult you on the speed required to meet the needs of your slip holders. Many clients have fiber connections from their ISP. We walk you through the process of working with them to get this installed if it's not already in place. You will need high-speed internet. 1-2Gbs is typical for larger marinas.

Customization and Flexibility

How flexible is your service for businesses like campgrounds that may only operate part of the year?

Beacon Services ensures to offer the tier of service that fits our customers best. For example, some of the marinas we service are only open part of the year. We have many seasonal customers who only operate part of the year.

Do you provide all necessary equipment, or do I need to buy anything separately?

Beacon Services relies on using the best tools for the job. In order to do that we provide all the necessary equipment. Customers do not need to buy anything extra to receive the quality service Beacon Services offers.

Installation and Support

How long does installation typically take?

Installation varies per project. On smaller projects installation can be as quick as 4 weeks. However, on larger projects it can be a few months for full installation. Want to learn more about our installation process?

What does the planning process look like?

Our process can vary slightly based on the size of the project. However, more often than not it follows this structure:

Quote the project and discuss details with the property manager.
Our team scouts the location and we build a construction plan.
We review the plan with the property manager then we schedule the install.
We start construction and setup your gear.

Do you offer ongoing technical support and maintenance?

Yes, we do. All of our installations come with a three-year service package for quality assurance. This includes service and hardware.

How quickly can we expect help if there’s an outage or problem?

Outages can happen for a few reasons. If it is due to an ISP outage, they handle that. If the outage is related to hardware installed by Beacon Services we automatically send those requests to our tier 2 support. On the off chance we can't fix the problem by logging in. We will send out a new device to be there in two-days or less for most customers.
